It’s #MomTipMonday! Today’s tip: Try bathing with your baby! Have a less stressful bath time and get some bonding time in too.

This is a great idea no matter how old your baby is, from a few days old to a year old and beyond! Babies love skin-to-skin time with their parents. This is a great way to make bath time less scary for the little ones who aren’t a fan. They will almost certainly enjoy it more with mom or dad there to hold them!

Many of our clients report satisfaction with taking a postpartum herbal bath with their newborn baby. Please be sure to check with your care provider beforehand. You can mix the herbs yourself using a recipe like this.

Be sure to only be alone in the tub with your baby if you are well-rested and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This is especially important during your recovery time after birth when you are exhausted; please use caution and wait until you are rested or ask someone to sit in the room with you and your baby. It is also a good idea for someone to bring the baby to you after you are already in the tub- tubs are slippery!
