Cultivate community and a nourishing self-care practice with classes designed to support you through every stage of pregnancy and the postpartum period.

Benefits of attending Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga with Lisa:

  • Create community
  • Relieve aches and pains
  • Develop a strong awareness and connection to your breath and pelvic floor
  • Learn breathing techniques to ease mental and physical discomfort
  • Support emotional and mental wellbeing
  • Build awareness of and strengthen muscles for labor, delivery, and the marathon of parenthood
  • Cultivate calm and relaxation
  • Safely maintain physical fitness in pregnancy
  • Restore and maintain wellbeing in the months and years following birth

Part yoga, part support group, Lisa’s prenatal and postnatal yoga class is designed to build a strong connection with the breath, the pelvic floor, and with a new community. Each class begins with the option to connect with one another via a brief check-in. Parents bond over shared due dates, common worries, current aches and pains, and their own unique journey – many people say this is their favorite part of attending classes!

Our prenatal yoga practice focuses on strengthening the body to support the demands of pregnancy and prepare for childbirth. Through gentle yet effective movements, we’ll target key muscle groups, helping you build resilience and stamina. We’ll also dedicate time to alleviating common aches and pains associated with pregnancy, such as back pain, hip discomfort, and sciatica, using therapeutic poses and mindful stretching to bring relief and comfort.

Classes are held at Little Lake Wellness Hub (231 Little Lake Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48103) in the community studio. Yoga mats, blocks, blankets, straps, and bolsters are available for your use.
