Your body is innately strong and intuitive, let us help support you in amplifying the path your body is already on before and after birth. Learn more.
MOVE offers both private sessions and group classes. For all new clients, we strongly encourage you to come in for an introductory private session as your first step. If you are more than 20 weeks pregnant, we ask that you do not sign up for a group class without at least one private session first so we can equip you with the modifications you will need to participate.
Jessica Beemsterboer
IBCLC Lactation Consultant
Jessica Beemsterboer, (she/her) IBCLC, MEd, became an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2020, and last recertified in 2025. She has supported hundreds of families at The Breastfeeding Center for Ann Arbor on their breast/chest-feeding journeys, providing lactation and infant feeding information and help. She also has a Masters in Education on Adult Learning, and worked in employee training and development at Google for 12 years before starting her lactation career. Prenatal classes and sessions allow Jessica to combine her loves of education and lactation, and give families the gift of evidence-based, well-designed education on a topic that will be extremely important when welcoming their new baby. Parents who take her Breastfeeding Prep options regularly share that they felt much more prepared for feeding their baby, and it got them off to a great start. Jessica and her husband have two school-age children (breastfeeding struggles with the first are what brought her to this field!) When she gets some free time, she might be found walking or biking in an Ann Arbor area park, ideally along the river, binge watching something, or playing a board game now that her kids are old enough for that to be fun!
Katy Gladwin
Women’s Health and Fertility Coach | Birth Doula | Childbirth Educator
Katy Gladwin, BS, CBD, NBC-HWC Has been serving families as a doula & childbirth educator for over a decade in the Ann Arbor Area. After completing a BS in Human Biology/Premed, she found her calling as an advocate for birthing families as a doula.
As a perpetual student, Katy is dedicated to discovering and sharing new and traditional information to support her friends, family, and clients in their health and wellness. After seeing so many gaps in care for pregnant and postpartum women, she completed a rigorous and comprehensive training as a national board-certified women’s health coach – with the goal of supporting women where they are in having happy healthy pregnancies, and vibrant and resilient postpartum transitions.
Katy offers many ways to work with her, from pre-conception consults for fertility coaching, pregnancy and birth education and in-person support, to postpartum preparation and overall integrative health and healing.
Katy currently lives in the woods with her partner, her 12 year-old son and 6 year-old daughter, and sweet dog. There isn’t much she loves more than a good bulletproof mocha, and in her free time, when she’s not studying, you can find her playing with her kids by the creek, or hiding out and netflix-knitting by herself.
Lisa Norgen
PRENATAL and Postpartum YOGA
In 2015, Lisa was a brand new mom who felt lost and alone. The ample support of her prenatal care had come to a close and she felt like she was drowning without community. After completing the “Holding Space” training at Honey: Space for Moms (three times!), her signature blend of support group + prenatal yoga was born. Each class begins with a group check-in and a chance to connect over how you’re really doing, what’s going on in your body, and find other people with similar due dates. Lisa has helped hundreds of women alleviate the aches and pains of pregnancy, take care of their pelvic floor, and learn breathing techniques to ease the anxiety and physical discomfort often associated with pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum years. A student of yoga since 2001, Lisa has completed 5 teacher training programs and has spent thousands of hours teaching; earning her the designation of ERYT-500. She is trained in trauma informed yoga, health mindset behavior change, and mindful eating (MB-EAT-QI), and is currently studying to be a Perinatal Corrective Exercise Specialist. Lisa lives in Ann Arbor with her two children, her husband, and their two cats + dog. She’s a library person who loves books, and reading, and would love to hear about the last great book you read.
