Maria Edwards

Postpartum doula

Maria Edwards (she/her) is a certified postpartum doula and IBCLC, and began her journey into birth work after gaining experience as an EMT and working in a local hospital’s Mother Baby unit. Her firsthand knowledge of both medical and in-home postpartum care allows her to provide well-rounded, evidence-based support. She offers daytime and overnight postpartum care, as well as in-home lactation support, ensuring that each family receives the personalized guidance they need.

She takes pride in helping parents achieve their feeding goals, offering compassionate and practical solutions for infant feeding challenges. Her dedication to helping parents navigate the early days of parenthood with confidence and ease has made her an invaluable support to those she serves in Washtenaw County. Whether it’s helping a family establish a feeding routine, providing overnight relief, or offering emotional reassurance, Maria’s goal is to create a nurturing and supportive environment for every client she serves.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Maria enjoys exploring local nature trails, spending time her family and outdoors with her dog Lola.
